Travis Scott, the stage name of Jacques Webster, is a Houston-born hip-hop artist and producer with affiliations to Kanye West‘s GOOD Music and T.I.‘s Grand Hustle Records. Known for employing a heavily Auto-Tuned half-sung style, Scott refers to himself as a singer rather than a rapper. Scott’s debut, Owl Pharaoh, released in 2013 and featured guest appearances by T.I. and 2 Chainz, as well as Toro y Moi, A$AP Ferg, Paul Wall, and Justin Vernon of Bon Iver. The mixtape garnered critical acclaim, eventually receiving a nomination for Best Mixtape at the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards.
Scott released his first proper studio album, Rodeo, last year, preceded by the 2014 mixtape Days Before Rodeo. Rodeo, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, features the chart-topping hit “Antidote.”
Travis Scott’s latest album, Birds In the Trap Sing McKnight, released September 2 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The album features guest vocals from the likes of André 3000, Kid Cudi, Swizz Beatz, Kendrick Lamar, and The Weeknd.
