Nothing

Sunday 3:10–3:50 Red Stage

With a name that means so much, shoegaze revivalists Nothing are guilty of everything and tired of tomorrow. With their debut record Guilty of Everything and their 2015 release Tired of Tomorrow, this simple-named band has created a whirlwind of noise, melody, and emotion for fans of anything from shoegaze to emo to post-rock. Nothing captures and re-imagines the sense of chilly, eerie melodies with the swelled-up guitar builds that are succeeded by the bone-shaking vocals of Dominic Palermo. Listening to one of Nothing’s releases and seeing a live set will give you the mentality of being in England circa 1990’s going to see bands like Ride, Slowdive, and Swervedriver co-headlined by American hardcore groups like Negative Approach and Minor Threat with the raw, teenage-angst that has been captured by authors like J.D. Salinger.
